शास्त्रकोषः

एकैकस्मिन्नथो राशौ भुङ्क्ते संवत्सरं चरन् ।

यदि वक्रो भवेन्नैवानुकूलो व्रह्मवादिनाम् ॥ (देवीभागवतम्  8 स्कन्धः 14अ 33)

ಗುರುಗ್ರಹವು ವಕ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಂದೊಂದು ರಾಶಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೊಂದು ವರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುವುದು. ಗುರುಗ್ರಹದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವು ಸಾತ್ವಿಕಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
